Hello!

You died. That sucks. What sucks even more is that you wake up on the floor of the local Foot Locker. The portraits of feet all around on the wall greet you warmly as you open your eyes. Whatever injuries you had that led to your untimely demise are now gone, though that doesn't stop you from earning more. Your item from home is here as well.

Here's the good news: you aren't actually dead! Or rather, you're sort of dead. Only mostly dead? It doesn't really matter.

The point is, you're now in the mall. What mall? Good question. But there's a whole lot of places in here to explore. Go ahead and hang out at all nine stores, check out the state of the art mall bathrooms (there's TWO, even), and be especially sure to get a pretzel. You can even catch a glimpse of what your friends are getting up to in the city; just tune into channel 12 on any of the multiple TVs in the mall.

Sometimes you might find a celebrity hanging around in the Suncoast. Keep an eye out for some familiar faces.

Finally, remember your powers? They're working again! Not that they will help you get out of here, but still.

Welcome to the Graveyard! Unfortunately, it seems that not even death can save you from the wretched grasp of capitalism.

She is processing the trauma of being eaten a second time. :( At least she didn't even remember the first time?

Ah, Miss Falin. [ hey, welcome to the foot locker, it's the worst here. ] I'm... hm.

[ he was going to say glad to see you in one piece but that seems INSENSITIVE so instead: ]

It's all right. They'll be fine.

[huggressive]

[ He should say it. She'd just laugh.

But oh! She startles upon seeing him, grabbing one of his hands to check that he's not a ghost. ]

Jiaoqiu? You're- you were revived?

[ he is too polite!!

and also he jumps, startled by the touch, but he's solid! and he also just lets her hold his hand, that's fine. ]

I'm uncertain if I ever died at all. [ ... ] It felt like I did, but here I am, in the flesh. And now, we are in a different place entirely.

[huggressive]

[ Squishes his paw paw... And then lets go, frowning thoughtfully. ]

It's not so unusual where I'm from, but... I wonder if that place really like is like a dungeon.

I do remember you mentioning this. It isn't a terrible theory.

Our magic seems to be available to us, in this place, and we can see the others through the televisions. Do your dungeons have anything like that?

[slashing]

ok no. seeing falin was cut in half, therion is not nearly as ready to be angry or...smad... as he may have been in another circumstance. he's kind of here, lingering somewhere in the shadows and watching for a couple of minutes before he actually comes back out. his emotions are crackly like a storm cloud and... underneath, a tiny bit relieved. ]

[ ‼️ Her head immediately whips over to stare at him in surprise, and she doesn't even have the time to absorb all the feet around them. ]

[ Immediately scurrying over!! And slapping her hands down on his shoulders to check that he's solid. ]

Are you alright?

[ SEKJRH WHY THIS!!! NO!!!! he does not stop her from doing this because he is weak and now flustered though he does reach up and put his hands on her wrists. therion is very solid! ]

--I'm fine, you're seriously asking about me right now?

[ YOU JUST GOT CUT IN HALF!!!! ]

[ YOU DIED RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER she probably doesn't remember being eaten in clear detail from the sheer amount of trauma. Like childbirth.

She relaxes when he proves himself solid, a relieved smile settling on her features. ]

I'm so glad.

[ Ah, she's tired... But peers around. ]

You said they're not here. Where is this?

[slashing]

[ please don't talk about being eaten and childbirth in the same sentence

embarrassing!!! this sincerity absolutely makes his emotions go all squiggly embarrassed and he huffs and removes her hands, gently. ] Alright, alright, jeez.

[ baka!!!!!

as for her questions: ]

... Something called a mall. No idea where it is. [ a beat. ] No way out, either, as far as we can tell. Magic works, though.

[huggressive]

[ His embarrassment just makes him smile... Cute.

Her hands fall away, and she's looking around with more interest now. ]

Oh. [ She does feel the familiar thrum of magic now. ] Maybe that's a good sign?

[slashing]

anyway. ]

It mostly just means that every time that girl has a temper tantrum, she tries to blow up the place. [ with a gesture at yoru.

he turns his own hand afterwards, palm flat, to summon up a little fireball and then shakes his hand to dispel it. his one (1) magic trick. he's not calling it a good sign or anything because he's too cynical for that, but: ] I guess we don't get crushed by a giant statue every couple of days. So. You win some, you lose some.

[ He's cute... Yoru is also cute, even if she's trying to blow them all up.

She peers at the fire with a little smile. It's pretty, and warm.

But his comment about the chalupa has her frowning again, looking back up at him. ]

They're due for another party tonight. Is time looping here too?

Don't think so. 's hard to tell, so don't put too much stock into it.

[ there's not any calendars or clocks or... outdoors... only Mall.... ]

We can see everything that goes on over there, the [ pause. the emotion of Ugh as he makes airquotes ] "chalupa" and all. Couple different places you can sit and watch.

[ oh NO. welt is coming over to check on her, but alas - there are no amy or karamatsu to greet her. just a bunch of these bozos. ]
